Mitchell Shire Council - Community Panel Registration of Interest

Thank you for your interest in the Mitchell Shire Council Community Panel, where panel members will have the opportunity to give advice to Council and work with other members of the community to shape Mitchell Shire's future.

The Community Panel will be made up of around 40 members of the Mitchell Shire community coming together to discuss, debate and form recommendations on some of the more complex challenges facing the Council. As part of the Community Panel, you will engage in discussions, debates, and deliberation on key issues, providing valuable insights and opinions to inform important decisions.

The Community Panel will meet on two occasions. It is important that you can attend ALL  meetings.

Saturday, 15 February 2025, between 10am and 4pm, Broadford Hall, 18 Murchinson Street, Broadford

Saturday, 22 February 2025, between 10am and 4pm, Greater Beveridge Community Centre, Corner Lithgow Street and Mandalay Circuit, Beveridge

Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Participants will receive $200 in recognition of their commitment and time and to cover any potential participation costs.

The members of the Community Panel will be selected from those who register through a random sample to reflect the diversity of the Mitchell Shire community, both residents and business owners. Please complete this form so that we know a little more about you and can select a diverse panel.

Registrations are being managed by Deliberately Engaging, an independent organisation separate from Council.

Please note:  Elected representatives from any level of government, paid employees of any political party, council employees, current Councillors and their immediate family members, and former Councillors from the last two terms of Council, cannot join the Panel.
